  • Support different project teams in providing financial consulting services relating to the valuation of businesses, intangible assets, and corporate finance-related services
  • Analyze companies from a financial, operational, and industry perspective mergers and acquisitions (M&A) due diligence experience
  • Have knowledge of financial models and be able to create financial models based on business issues or transactions being analyzed and get the team to deliver high-quality valuation work products
  • Successful experience in overall engagement planning and job economics
  • Interact with internal and external clients and communicate with managers
  • Lead internal initiatives and practice management engagements
  • Effectively manage the risk associated with engagements
  • Successfully manage a team, including resolving issues and starting to team across regions
  • Provide guidance to the team, especially in cases where troubleshooting is required. Train the team on new methods and processes
  • Assist internal clients on client development and practice development assignments
  • Assume responsibility for the quality control and accuracy of client deliverables by supervising the work of staff and seniors
  • Advise client corporations on complex business matters that involve financial, fraud and forensic investigations and economic damages arising from disputes in various matters, leading to disputed valuations.
  • Oversee multiple projects encompassing various responsibilities, including providing oversight of the engagement strategy/approach; overseeing client deliverables; preparing final reports and testimony; ensuring that the work product complies with the client’s needs, and assuming responsibility for engagement economics to achieve revenue goals.
  • Develop/maintain strong working relationships with key business decision makers. Collaborate to plan the engagement. Manage expectations of service. Successfully manage the budget.
  • Communicate/apply strategic objectives and policies.
  • Develop people. Successfully delegate to all levels of staff. Assume a leadership role in training, development, and instruction, and contribute to practice-wide recruiting efforts. Foster teamwork and innovative thinking.
  • Client interfacing presentations must be the point of differentiation aimed at getting a client excited about the uniqueness of the offering, the possibilities that may exist, inspiring a recipe of need, leading to a WOW factor.
  • Leading the team by guiding, mentoring and training them to create the same WOW factor upon their first interactions with the clients.
  • Preparing presentation and related documents for client interaction and pitches
  • By managing day-to-day activities, analyzing statistics and reading and writing reports, operations managers play a vital role.
  • Ensure the overall people plan of the area reflects high standards, bench, and succession planning, coupled with consistent mentoring and people development.
  • Coordinate with, mentor and motivate teams to help them achieve their goals
  • Responsible to consistently and effectively communicate the company objectives to complete management team through organized and scheduled conference calls and email communication
  • Conduct periodic performance evaluations to ensure that their team is on the right path to achieving their goals.
  • Know and manage the business by effectively using reports, assessing departmental results, and developing specific actions directly related to operations, development and growth, consistently
  • Accountable to ensure that trends of underperformance are formally addressed, with clear and documented performance improvement plans
Desired Candidate
  • Minimum 5 years of valuation and/or investment banking experience
  • Good practical knowledge of below-mentioned topics

  • Experience of working in Big Four’s valuation team or in a leading valuation firm will have a preference
  • Team handling, client management, leadership and people management
  • Should have good quantitative, analytical, written, and presentation skills.
  • You must be able to see the big picture as well as the finer details, as your work is across the spectrum. You will deal in small daily matters, as well as larger aims and setting goals. A systematic organized approach to work is vital.
  • Brilliant communication and interpersonal skills, for dealing with many types of people at all levels in a direct diplomatic way, are essential. An understanding of customer/client requirements is also necessary.
  • Strong leadership skills, including effective time management, prioritizing and delegation, are required. You must be able to lead, coach, inspire, support and motivate your team, and always seeking to improve best practice.
  • Having a natural creative flair and being full of ideas and energy to introduce new concepts and innovations would also be advantageous.
Education
  • B. Com/M. Com, BBA/MBA – Finance. CFA Level 1 cleared preferred.
  • Minimum 60% throughout academics
